St. John is said to have lived the last years of his life here andafter his death, a shrinewaslocatedover his grave.

31 August 2013: Departure from Izmır Adnan Menderes Aırportat 15:30 andcontinueto Selçuk (about30 munites) and visit the Ioniancity of Ephesus, the Roman capital of  AsiaMinor, The Odeon, The Marble Street, The HadrianTemple, The Celcius Library -magnificientrestoration by Austrians- The Great Theatre. Afterwards, we will visit The House of Virgin Mary. Departfrom Selçuk for Pamukkale. (Max. 2 hrsdrive) We will visit the Cotton Castle and the wonderful travertines. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

06-07 September 2013: We will meet at Kayseri Airport at 00:15 on 07 September morning and drive to the hotel at Cappadocia, the land of stonedwellings, rock chapels and monasteries. On 07 September after breakfast at the hotel, we will visit The Citadel of Uçhisar, PigeonValley, Avcılar Valley, Paşabağ Valley, Zelve Valleyand Avanos, the pottery village. Afterwards, we will visit the Göreme Open-airMuseum with it schurcheshewn out of rock and colourful frescos and Karanlık Church which has recently been restored and presented to the treasure of the world by Unesco. Optional lunch either in a fish or meat restaurant with at selection of local Cappadocia wines. Opportunities for taking photos of incredible landscape during the day. Drive to hotel.
